About Alex
I earned my master’s degree in publishing from Portland State University, one of only seven graduate programs in book publishing in the country—and the only one with its own publishing house staffed entirely by graduate students.
At PSU’s award-winning Ooligan Press, recognized by Publisher’s Weekly as the place where “publishing education gets innovative,” I worked to publish two young adult fiction titles and a short story collection and also coordinated press operations as the Publisher’s Assistant.
This hands-on experience, combined with my study of the latest developments in print and digital publishing through comprehensive courses in book editing, marketing, and design has prepared me to connect authors and readers in an ever-changing world of words.
